Arts courses at UNE provide a vehicle through which you can explore and express yourself through discovering and interpreting the arts and the cultural world. Studying an Arts course will contribute in important ways to your learning and understanding of the broader world by developing your motivation and confidence, and teaching you creative and dynamic ways of thinking and knowing.
The Bachelor of Arts (BA) is one of UNE’s oldest and still most popular degrees. It gives you the flexibility to tailor a unique degree to suit your individual interests and strengths. The BA is for students looking to enhance their knowledge, career prospects and personal interests by acquiring a range of analytical and communication skills.
Majors available in the Bachelor of Arts include Ancient History, Archaeology, Australian History, Chinese, Classical Languages, Criminology, English, French, German, History, Human Geography, Indigenous Studies, Indonesian, International History, Islamic Studies, Italian, Japanese, Linguistics, Music, Peace Studies, Philosophy, Physical Geography, Political and International Studies, Psychology, Screen and Media Studies, Sociology, Spanish, Studies in Religion, Theatre and Performance, and Writing.
UNE offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in arts. Most are available to be studied online and can be started in one of our three entry periods: February, June, and October.
