UNE Open Day gives you the chance to explore UNE and find out everything you need to know about studying at university. Every year, we hold information sessions, individual course advice, tours of the academic campus and colleges, live demonstrations, free food and activities.

SHUTTLE BUS
LOOP

The buses run in a continuous loop around the colleges and academic campus.

The free buses run in a continuous loop, so you'll only have a few minutes to wait for the next one.

 

There's multiple stops along the way including:

 

  • The Residential Colleges
  • SportUNE - one of the best regional sporting facilities in New South Wales.
  • The Animal House
  • Northern Carpark which takes you to the main Open Day events.

General activities

All day activities, as well as campus tours, entertainment and transport.

 

Shuttle Bus Loop

7:30am - 2:00pm

The buses run in a continuous loop, so you will only have a few minutes to wait for the next one. Jump on or off at SportUNE, Colleges, or the Animal House and then back to the Northern Carpark. Last loop at 2pm. 

College Tours

7:30am - 2:00pm

Hop off at the college bus stops to tour the residential colleges, meet current students and chat about college life.
Individual college tours finish at 2pm.

9:00am - 2:00pm

Talk to the experts about course and study options and career pathways. All of our academic areas are represented to give you the detail you need. Course advice can be found in Lazenby Hall.

TOUR THE COLLEGES

Start your day at the residential colleges. Choosing to live in one of UNE’s residential colleges not only saves you money, it puts you in the ideal position to enjoy the living and learning experience to the fullest.

 

There's 7 colleges to visit, all with their own distinct character. Tours start from 7:30am and finish 2:00pm.

HEAD "UP TOP" AND REGISTER

Once you're finished at the colleges, jump on the free shuttle bus that takes you up to the Academic campus, also known as "up top" to the locals!

 

When you arrive, make sure you register at the Registeration tents. Register to get your:

  • Free goodie bag
  • Open Day program
  • Lunch voucher

 

Hint: Register before the day and skip the lines. All you'll need to do is head to the registration tent, show the attendents your code, and pick up your bag.

VISIT FUTURE STUDENT TEAM

Head to the Future Student's Information Tent to get advice on your study options. They'll also be able to help you with information about applying and Early Entry.

 

Hint: Don't forget to ask about going in the draw to win an Open Day prize.

DIRECTIONS:

The University of New England, Armidale is on the New England Highway, which is the excellent inland route between Sydney and Brisbane. Driving time from Sydney or Brisbane is around 5.5 to 6.5 hours (depending on your route) and less than 3 hours from the coast.

 

PARKING AND TRANSPORT:

Parking is available at the residential colleges or Northern carpark.

The free shuttle buses run in a continuous loop starting at 7:30am, so you will only have a few minutes to wait for the next one. Jump on or off at SportUNE, Colleges, or the Animal House and then back to the Northern Carpark. Last loop leaves at 2:00pm.
