Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science
The Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science develops a comprehensive understanding of the scientific and applied aspects of sport, exercise and health. You will undertake core studies in human structure, function and behaviour, before further study on the acute and chronic physiological and psychological responses to exercise. Analytical, technical and professional skills are developed in the areas of movement analysis, health and fitness assessment and exercise training for health and performance. You will complete 140 hours of workplace experience in your final trimester of study to practice these skills. Graduates are recognised for their expertise in the design and implementation of exercise interventions to prevent disease and improve athletic performance.
Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology
While the four-year Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology covers the same core studies and technical and professional skills as the Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science, it also includes further study on the acute and chronic physiological and psychological responses to exercise in healthy individuals, and an in-depth understanding of how to provide exercise services for chronically ill people and those with complex health issues. In your final year you will undertake 500 hours of workplace experience to practice exercise-based management of neurological, musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, metabolic and other health conditions. Graduates are recognised for their expertise in the clinical application of exercise-based rehabilitation.

Online study can also be referred to as 'distance education' (also off-campus, or external study) and provides an opportunity for you to study without having to physically attend a campus.
To make sure your learning can take place when it suits you, UNE provides online facilities which allow you to send questions, submit assignments, engage with other students, order library books, check your results and access other resources, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
