From 2018, the Australian Government has introduced additional standards for admission to Initial Teacher Education (ITE) degrees. In addition to academic capability, applicants will also need to submit a ‘Personal Statement’ outlining their non-academic abilities. These non-academic capabilities include an applicant’s interest in teaching children and/or young people and their motivations for becoming a teacher along with their involvement in personal learning and/or leadership activities (ie work experience, community work or volunteering, extra-curricular projects etc). UNE Early Entry is open to all year 12 applicants, whether or not you’re expecting to receive an ATAR and relies on your school’s assessment of your attributes and abilities to determine your suitability for entry. The assessment is based around your ability to work and learn independently, as well as your overall potential for academic success at UNE.

Campus Tours are conducted on Monday and Friday at 9:30am and 1:30pm each week (excluding public holidays) and will take approximately two and a half hours. Bookings are required.
